Measured Surveys

Anyone who’s worked in refurbishment will understand the concept of “GIGO” or “Garbage In Garbage Out”. The starting point to any successful refurbishment project needs to be a survey of the existing building. If the existing information is flawed, any follow-up work will only be as good as the flawed base drawing. Having worked in architecture for 15 years, this has been the driver in ensuring that my surveys form trustworthy models to base an entire project on.

Being from an architectural background rather than surveying, my surveys are tailored to the specification of the client for continued design development. Drawings can be set to a standard in-house layered model or drawn to client’s specified systems.

We work with a number of Architects and Project Management companies who we have provided surveys for over the years, for the refurbishment of housing, restaurants, bars, offices, salons and shops.

All surveys are undertaken using hand-held Leica laser measuring equipment and delivered as 2D plans, elevations and sections.
