Drawing Outsourcing for Professionals and Companies
Many projects will benefit from the input of an Architectural Technologist, but employing a practice isn’t necessarily the most cost-effective approach. Some projects simply need technical architectural drawings to support the main designer in achieving sign-off, building regulations approval or simply for costing or construction. I work independently with a number of clients, within structural and MEP design to provide the necessary architectural drawings for such projects. I work independently, so it’ll be me answering the calls, producing the drawings, attending meetings and ultimately taking responsibility for the deliverables. My current clients seem to prefer this one-on-one approach and I find it streamlines the process from brief to delivery. If you’re in need of architectural support and want to go straight to someone with 18 years of proven track record in technical design, please do get in touch.
Prior to setting up independently I worked as the Technical Design Manager for an Architect’s practice in Sheffield. This role saw me oversee many multi-million pound schemes from RIBA Stage 3 (developed design), through the technical stages, building control assessments, tendering and construction. I know from our busy periods that capacity to deliver projects can be a challenge. I now offer outsourcing for practices as an alternative to employing temporary staff. The benefits of this are as follows:
- No recruitment agency fees to pay
- No need to train temporary staff members or wait for the adjustment period to end
- Ad-hoc availability on either hourly or daily rates
- One-on-one working (I will deal with all work independently)
- No workstation costs to cover
- No software licence fees to pay
